I collaborated with Grove & Co., an interior design agency specialising in hospitality, new homes, and multi-unit residences.

The main objective was to revamp and modernise their existing website, providing a visually appealing platform to showcase their services and successful past projects.

I took text content from the company’s current website and worked with their existing brand colours and typography. I undertook the development and design from scratch, using WordPress as the content management system.

This provided the client with straightforward content management capabilities and the option to incorporate additional back-end tools in the future if required.

A key aspect of the client’s brief was that the website should deliver a seamless and fluid user experience, particularly when showcasing their projects. This involved incorporating page transitions into the WordPress build, where the existing and upcoming pages seamlessly transition and any images within the initial viewport from the next page are preloaded.

To achieve this, I leveraged the barba.js JavaScript library for page transitions and developed a custom PHP query to identify and preload images.

I implemented custom front-end modules, with which the client is able to manage and adapt content in the CMS. These modules provide design flexibility, enabling their team to easily customise and scale the website’s front-end according to their needs.
